Supporting Veterans In The GeniusLab Studio with Toby Christensen and CJ Lambert

Supporting Veterans In The GeniusLab Studio

This blog post is about supporting veterans in the GeniusLab Studio. Last week we had the pleasure of hosting Mr. Michael Murray, a retired Marine and Dr. Janelle Royster (aka Dr. J) retired Air Force, and of course, Stryder, Mikes four legged companion.

We had been collaborating on turning one of Mike’s poems into a song. Dr. J worked her magic to connect Mike and I and we hit it off right away.  Music is the bridge builder in the world! Once we got the song structure dialed in it was time for a trip to the GeniusLab Studio!

This Is A Powerful Collaboration

CJ worked his magic on the mix and played some amazing lead guitar, Toby played drums, rhythm guitar and bass. Mike and Dr. Jay laid the vocals. They spent two days in the studio and we had a blast! Mike is the CEO of Liberty-OVE an organization that heals veterans and first responders of PTSD. This is a great organization with a powerful and much needed mission!

We Love Supporting Veterans In The GeniusLab Studio

Here is Mike making sure the guitar work gets done properly! Check out the link below to a taste of what is to come. We will be releasing the completed song in February at HearTheHope.org

The funds raised will help both organizations spread the healing power of music around the world!
